Il “Disklavier Composer Contest” nasce per far incontrare il genio degli ingegneri Yamaha e il genio dei compositori di oggi, che vengono così invitati a sfruttare al massimo le potenzialità di questa innovazione, che amplia all’infinito la versatilità del pianoforte, prestandosi ad innumerevoli utilizzi. Una tecnologia che saprà senza dubbio stimolare la fantasia dei musicisti più creativi.

I partecipanti al contest dovranno proporre il loro brano inedito, che sarà suonato dal vivo dal pianoforte Yamaha Disklavier. La giuria internazionale composta da Claudio Ambrosini, Cristian Carrara, Emanuele Casale, Michael Nyman (Presidente), Cesare Picco e Kevin Puts, selezionerà i brani che accederanno alla finale del 27 settembre, che si svolgerà nell’ambito di Cremona Musica.

"I tried to be an alchemist in front of the piano in order to transform the sound in its origin. I mixed the elements of the piano projecting my idea of nature and cosmos through its strings."

Cesare achieved the sound of "Alchemy" overlapping different pianos (upright and grand models) and crossing frequencies and vibrations of various parts of the instrument like: wood, velvet, metal, strings...

The result is a new musical substance able to generate a deep spiritual approach and enchantment.

Special guests, Leonardo Sapere - principal and solo cello of "I Virtuosi Italiani" orchestra - and the Iranian artist Maryam Roshanaei, interpretating her poem in "Aram Aram".

The album premiere has been performed on January the 30th 2020 with a special multi-streaming live concert through the Yamaha Music Europe official channels (Facebook and Youtube).
